It is correct for 1948 Ford trucks including pickups, and Ford and Mercury passenger 1949-1951 and commercial vehicles 1948-1953. It has hardened valve seats. The bores are standard withe nominal wear; I would expect the bores to clean at 3 3/16+.040"; the main caps appear to be correct for the block with minimal offset at the parting lines. This is the nicest 8BA block that I have seen in a long time.
