Ford part numbers 81A-6049-A and 81A-6050-A, hot tanked magnetic particle inspected with no cracks found.  Fits and is correct for 1938,1939, 1940, 1941, 1942 221 ci, 24 stud Flathead Ford V-8, some of these have an "A" on the outside center, some do not. 

To use on 239 engines, machine work would need to be done at the top in the combustion chambers to avoid the valves hitting the head.
