Rear Main Seal Conversion Kit for Flathead Ford V8 1932, 1933, 1934, 1935, early 1936 and some 1937, possibly even 1938; this is for rear main caps that are NOT machined for any seal or seal retainer. We are seeing some later caps that are not machined, please check your rear main cap before ordering.
Kit changes rear main seal from labyrinth seal to rope seal. It requires a later crankshaft ground to fit or grinding the rear slinger off of the present crankshaft thus creating a rope seal surface of 2.498", concentric with the main journals. Kit includes instructions, upper and lower seal retainers, hardware needed and the rear rope seal kit. The seal retainers may be used, repurposed.
